Bloxender: Blender-Style Modelling Inside Roblox Studio

Hey everyone! I’ve been working on Bloxender, a Roblox Studio plugin designed to bring a more complete, Blender-inspired modelling workflow directly into Studio.

The goal is simple: let developers create, edit, UV-map, paint, and refine meshes without constantly exporting files between different programs. Bloxender isn’t intended to replace Blender entirely, but it aims to make everyday mesh work much faster and more convenient, especially when you want to stay inside your Roblox project.

Bloxender Now Has an Agent

The newest major feature is the Bloxender Agent, an AI assistant built directly into the plugin.

Instead of only answering basic questions, the Agent can inspect the current modelling context, discuss what you are building, suggest useful operations, and prepare actions for the mesh. You can choose how much control it receives:

  • None: The Agent only chats, answers questions, and gives advice.
  • Always Ask: It prepares actions but waits for your approval.
  • Decide & Act: It can make approved modelling decisions automatically.

The Agent also supports a movable floating chat window, conversation history, and natural responses. Mesh-changing actions remain separated from ordinary conversation, so asking a question will not unexpectedly modify your work.

HTTP Requests must be enabled in Studio for the online Agent to connect.

Modelling and Painting

Bloxender includes much more than primitive creation. Current features include:

  • Object, vertex, edge, and face selection
  • Move, rotate, scale, extrude, inset, bevel, and subdivide
  • Loop cuts, knife tools, bridge loops, fill, merge, dissolve, and separate
  • A non-destructive modifier stack with 18 modifiers
  • Snapping, proportional editing, measurements, and selection utilities
  • A complete 2D UV editor with unwrapping, islands, seams, packing, and scaling
  • Texture painting directly on meshes
  • Paint layers, erasing, colour sampling, brush rotation, and randomized rotation
  • A visual texture and brush library
  • Vertex colour painting
  • Roblox-readiness checks and mesh publishing tools
  • Undo and redo designed around complete modelling operations

Bloxender can also work with supported meshes that were not originally created by the plugin, allowing it to fit into existing Studio projects instead of requiring a completely new workflow.

Lite and Full

A free Bloxender Lite version provides the essential modelling tools for learning and basic creation.

The Full version unlocks the complete UV, painting, advanced modelling, modifier, precision, and production workflow for a one-time price of $5.99 with lifetime access.

Bloxender is still actively improving, and feedback from real Roblox developers is extremely valuable. I would especially love to hear what workflows feel natural, which tools need refinement, and what you would want from future Blender integration.

Thanks for checking it out. This has been a huge project, and I’m excited to finally show what Bloxender can do.
