When running the new asset validation system (implemented yesterday), it detects the toes on my skeleton bundle as “low visibility geometry” and reports that they significantly increase the bounding box size of the LeftLeg and RightLeg. Image below:
This issue occurs even though the toes are part of the intended character anatomy and are clearly visible in both Studio and in an instance. The validator incorrectly assumes that these smaller but essential body parts are “low visibility,” blocking valid uploads.
This system seems to have been introduced or updated yesterday, and since then, it has become extremely aggressive and inaccurate when validating humanoid bundles or complex meshes. It needs serious adjustments, as it currently prevents creators from uploading legitimate assets that meet visibility and proportion standards.
Expected behavior
The validation system should not flag visible, anatomically correct geometry like toes or fingers as low visibility.
Could you please attach an rbxm of the bundle or fbx so we can reproduce the issue and determine if things need adjusting? Alternatively, if you don’t want it shared publicly, you can send me the bundle in a private message.
Thank you for the fast response, I have privately messaged you the fbx file. After further review, the error occurs due to the toes extending slightly outwards along the x axis which barely increases the bounding box but still triggers the “low visibility geometry” warning.
The toes are very visible and intentional part of the character’s anatomy. They’re not stray geometry or hidden faces, just a normal outward curve that adds anatomical accuracy. The new validation system seems overly strict in this case.
It would be great if this system could account for small, visible extensions (like toes/feet) since they naturally push the bounding box slightly without being “low visibility.”
After reviewing, a bug was found that was making the validation too strict for the X and Z axes on feet and arms. I’ve adjusted the thresholds for those axes to be extremely lenient to compensate for it while we work on releasing a fix. Please allow 1 - 2 hrs for the new thresholds to be rolled out.
Sorry for the disruption and let us know if you encounter any other issues after the new thresholds are rolled out.
