Instead of seeing this
I want to see the amount of new messages I have since last clicking that button.
So every time you click the messages button, it will reset to “0 New”
Then let’s say the next morning I wake up and have 10 new messages, it would say “10 New”
Instead of 1k +, because that amount of messages does not matter to me, I will never get to them.
Messaging needs to be more developer friendly, and this would definitely help

Let’s say it only does this if the number is under 30
I’m able to keep all mine down to zero, and I wouldn’t want one “missed” PM due to this

There shouldn’t be weird changes in behavior without the user’s approval.
Why can’t we just have a “mark all as read” button?

That only selects the ones on your current page. No good if you have a billion PMs. We need one that works for all PMs.
