As of the most recent update on Windows I can’t drag the scroll bar, I can’t use my scroll wheel the only way up and down the Explorer is using my arrow keys.
Turning off the “Next Gen” Explorer in Beta Features that I was automatically enrolled onto fixed the issue.
Hi, we’re actively investigating this though are having trouble reproducing. I’m working on creating a special build of Studio that you can use to help us debug further.
Out of curiosity, what is your resolution and DPI scale?
No touchscreen monitors for me. Just plain monitors for my PC.
I do have two monitors hooked up, one setup above the other, I had roblox studio open in then lower one.
That’s disappointing–we’re pretty stumped on this but are keeping a close eye on it. My only other guess is if you have a controlled plugged in, but someone else reported that they didn’t…
Explorer just stopped scrolling for me. Every other window works fine. Seemed to happen when Roblox Studio wigged out during debugging. After restarting, now Explorer window won’t scroll. Enabled/Disabled “Next Gen UI” beta crap. Still nothing. Explorer is mostly useless to me now. I guess I can try reinstalling it.
I love wasting time working around Roblox Studio bugs. It’s my favorite.
Edit: After an hour of messing (not my word of choice, but keeping it clean for the kiddos) around, an uninstall, reboot, install, fixed my problem.
Undocking, closing, reopening, whatever you can think of doing to the explorer window…none of it helped. A reinstall (uninstall, reboot, install) fixed the issue.
Edit: PS, I don’t think this is a “Next Gen” issue. I didn’t have the Next Gen UI enabled when this happened to me. Switching to/from Next Gen UI didn’t change anything for me.
Also is happening to me and didn’t yesterday while i did not have any new windows update in the past 24 hrs. Trying to click on the scroll bar also doesn’t do anything. Idk if it’s just me but in the beta features I can’t turn this off and go back to the old explorer.
No touch screen either, in fact after I switched back to the old exploter, I noticed the performance of the old one is also better than the new gen one, at least in searching, I hope this can also be addressed (if possible)
this still happens for me. it seems like the input detector for the scroll bar is slightly offset - i’m able to scroll if i click and hold the very edge of the bar.
That is very helpful, can you try to show in a screenshot the precise setup (where you can vs can’t click?)
Also, after you get that do you have an idea how consistent it is? We think it only sometimes happens, if you restart Studio a few times do you continue to see it?
