Glad to hear! The current performance is less than satisfactory. Hopefully some fixes can be implemented.
Heads up, I just encountered this bug. I was switching between server & client views. The workspace is in the SoundService? lol
Anything other information you need?
EDIT:
This error also happened a bit farther up in the output.
And other errors:
Hi! We think we just tracked down the root cause of this one yesterday and will be deploying a fix today.
To confirm, do you have any error logs about shutdown deadlines, and do you have any scripts that use game:BindToClose?
Sometimes when I end playtesting, Studio freezes for a bit, and then I get errors about scripts executing past the shutdown deadline. I believe the only script that’s running :BindToClose()
is my data module, which is an abstraction over Suphi’s data store module.
Along with this, I also encountered this error:
Yep–we know about it then and will hopefully have a fix today. It happens when a BindToClose
takes more than 30 seconds.
What would really fix the problem is giving the users the option to change the explorer font size and padding, rather than playing ping pong against hundreds of complaints along the lines of “unusable explorer, padding too large” or “unusable explorer, font too large” etc.
Marginally reducing the padding and font (instead of adding standalone settings) is unfortunately a cut corner and in the end not everyone will be happy with the forced layout
Adding settings for explorer padding and font size is a win-win for both parties because it can be made pretty with the 16px padding and size 48 font to appease the non-users(euphemism) and made compact and concise to appease the people who actually use the explorer
A new explorer version came out (v0.31)?
I’ve noticed scrolling performance has improved from 48ms avg to 28ms avg. Still not ideal but big reduction! Also noticed parent property destruction doesn’t happen anymore when right clicking, but left clicking on empty space in the explorer with the parent property selected causes this error:
