Next Gen Explorer plugin error

I pressed play, my explorer suddenly went into a eternal drag state, pressed stop
And this error started appearing every time I move my mouse (even in another window)

Restarted studio and it’s fine now

Windows 10
Next Gen Explorer beta enabled

Typically, this happens because some plugins might be corrupted and/or interfering with Roblox internal plugins… If possible, are there any possibilities of answering if you have plugins enabled in your Roblox Studio? This might help engineers

So this happened right as you clicked play? Neat, we’ve been trying to hunt this one down.

Nah it isn’t the plugins, most of them are mine and none mess with the explorer

I just discovered how to recreate! And it doesn’t involve play

Steps:

  1. Start a drag on explorer
  2. Alt + tab out
  3. Release click
  4. Alt + tab into studio
  5. Start a drag on explorer again, move the mouse, and release it

This should recreate it

Thanks for the super clear repro steps, though I can’t seem to reproduce on Windows. Any chance you can record a short video? Thank you very much!

Good find, but it doesn’t look like that’s giving an error. But I think you’re right that that’s on the right track.

just disable the new gen Z explorer and use the old stable one  EZ fix
