Next Gen Studio - Preparing for Takeoff! [Beta]

Update again, they are here again. It’s like if I wait to the next day they are there.

Our dev just reminded me there are some actions that go “invisible” depending on context. For example, if you’re not in a Team Create session there are certain actions that will disappear.

These are legacy actions that didn’t really consider customization and we will be making changes to ensure these actions are visible but disabled when appropriate.

A few minor things…

I like the new play testing controls but I’m finding the contrast on the buttons low. To me it looks like the script play/pause button and stop button are dimmed. The green in the bigger “Script” button below pops out a lot more.

The Test > Add Clients menu option adds one client so should be singular.

On Mac, there is no indicator of the keyboard shortcut for Save to Roblox but Command-S works as usual.

I am editing a place with Team Create enabled.

And this probably does not have anything to do with it, but just to give as much context/information as possible, I have a window open that I opened before I enabled the beta feature, then a window with the beta feature enabled where I add the tools and stuff.

Disregard my last message. I just realized that I am creating a completely new experience when I use the beta feature to add the tools.

This is probably why then. This seems to be sorted then.

Thanks! These are all good ones. The Save shortcut we looked into and I’m hoping we can clean this up as we turn our attention to the shortcuts system in the new year.

I had a weird problem this morning. I was unable to use any of the Model tools on parts in the workspace. I couldn’t use the Select tool. If I highlighted a part in Explorer then the Move, Scale, etc. tools would show their handles but I couldn’t click on any of them.

I tracked it down to a UI Frame that covered the entire screen and was apparently intercepting the clicks that should have gone through to the parts. Setting Visible = false on this Frame let me use all the tools again. Toggling the UI setting in the View menu also worked.

I tried to recreate it in a clean project and it seems like I can sometimes get it to happen but I haven’t been able to nail down the exact sequence.

after last update somthing reseted the plugin settings stored in the 0 folder a.k.a local plugin settings this happened togeter with an tutorial that popups in an new place about the new ribbon

these plugins are afacted efected

also it reseted the plugins that were doced before some of them that are not local plugins

OK I will share with the rest of our team. The only thing I can think of that might be related is we resolved a bug where plugins were getting duplicated on tabs during play test sessions.
