"Next Gen" studio UI beta self-enabled itself

I have the Beta off, always, and with the last update it re-enabled itself without me asking for it…

Yeah, same thing happened to me. They basically did a beta release rollout to everyone around yesterday. So that means that it’s not a problem that you have specifically but for everyone that originally had it disabled. However, looking at what’s going on right now, the legacy ui will most likely be nuked off of existence around a month from now where you can’t switch back anymore (this is an estimate). So yeah…

It also happened to me on my pc. However, I also have a Laptop where the legacy GUI is still installed and hadn’t any “self-enabling” issues

This is intentional as we’re planning to retire the old ribbon soon. See here for more info [Beta] New Studio UI Updates - #303 by MeshOfPaul

If my memory serves correctly, they didn’t do that for the explorer. It stayed disabled until the full release

This was done with explorer, we almost always move to an opt out release before making a beta final
