So my team created a game for the dev challenge 2025 and we put a lot of work into it.
But after the event ended I accidentally updated the game by downloading a copy of it (to work for future updates on that copy until the event ends as we really liked the gameplay of our game)
So I messaged devrelpt@roblox.com
But I got no response for few days. I didn’t want the time we spent on that game to go to waste.
I just wanted to ask how much time does it take them to reply to the emails? And should I try other ways of contacting roblox support?
I’m confused.
Is the game open-sourced on the website?
How did you update the game by downloading a copy of it from there?
Or did you mean you uploaded a copy you were working on to the original event game on the website? That would update the game to the latest copy.
Be patient with replies from the website. I’m positive that they’re already overworked from the 90 million people who use the site daily and all the developers that are working on their projects.
Ah, but did it actually change the game?
Play it and see if the changes you made were actually done.
If it’s a Team Create game then it automatically updates (I seem to remember someone saying it’s every 5 minutes) whenever anyone is in it in Studio.
I’m sure I’ve also seen posts about the Updated date being incorrect for multiple people. Errors like people saying they haven’t updated a game for a year and the Updated date shows as last month.
Team Create automatically saves the place when opened in Studio, which updates the “Updated At” date. For this reason, we turn off Team Create at the deadline as precaution.
and add the .rbxl extension to the downloaded file.
After you’ve emailed them, I’m sure they’ll take it into account for judging. We haven’t received a reply yet either (publish issues during downtime) but I bet they’ve received quite some messages and have yet to figure out what to do.
