Noob Platformer: Title Revealed + Image!

Hello! So, as for part of my new project, the title of the game will be..

Noobie’s Adventure: Sun and Moon!

Please give feedback/ask me questions for the game image mock-up that I created! For context, this game is an obby/platformer that leans in more towards old-school obbies with a fresh coat of gameplay mechanics for a collect-a-thon. The area in the background is the game’s starting level as well.

(I apologize in advance if you might interpret the design as retroslop :sob:)

Looks quite interesting :">

The thumbnail I would have to admit was well done too!

just hit me now that it is gradiented to match the noob aswell :"D!!

I would recommend adding like a sun an moon icon next to it aswell like a banner or somethng.

Not alot of people like the classic looks which is why they might call it that :sob: – but me personally I like 'em

also – navi? . . .

Well best of luck on it :"D – cheers! :clinking_beer_mugs:

Inspired from Navi, without the annoying backseat gaming lol, but ofc! I’ll take the sun and moon icons a go next time around, cheers!

I like the thumbnaill, I recommend you use other Surface Types so it doesn’t look straining to the eye when every texture is a Stud.

For these rocks, walls, and sides, you don’t need to use a Stud if you want it accurate to old-school obbies!

If I were you I’d probably give the rocks the Universal surface type and have the sides of mountain and grass areas to be Smooth

Yeah, no problem! Really, studs were the only thing on my mind to give that “roughness” to them, but I can experiment with universal as well. And yes, I am adhering to never putting studs on trees! Those look ugly lol

I think you sre onky supposed to put studs on walkablr areas. If you arent meant to walk on it, you aren’t meant to put studs on it. With some exceptions. I think

Popular opinion says that’s how it should go; however, I’d change it by using universal studs instead of normal studs for rocks
