Not "Certified" After 3 Years?

I don’t know if this is happening with other people, but I always just slid this off as something I may get soon.

Back a few years ago, I joined the DevForum and completed the “new user tutorial” earning me the certificate from Discobot. Though, I did not earn the “Certified” badge.

I decided to find out more and completed the advanced tutorial for the “Licensed” badge. I obtained the silver-colored badge, though I still have not been given the “Certified” badge.

After trying to message people who could possibly help me, I resorted to here. I am wondering if anyone has had this problem, and how they resolved it. If you could not resolve this, tell me what you have tried, so I could reduce my possibilities of failure again.

I hope this amplifies my problem, though if this is a bug, I do not know what category to post it in; could someone also answer this? Sorry, I know this is a lot to process, so read it thoroughly if you do not understand.

Try doing the tutorial again

This is a interactive DM badge where you have to DM @discobot. Send the bot the following: “start new user” and the tutorial should begin. Work your way through it and once done you should receive the badge.

I have done both tutorials, but I have only received the badge for the licensed tutorial.

I have done both already, showing that I have the licensed badge on my profile exhibiting that I have done the beginner tutorial to advance to the second possible one.

The problem is that the bot has not given me the “Certified” badge which somewhat bothers me. :woozy_face:

Seems strange that you haven’t got the “Certified” badge as this ain’t common for most users, maybe do the tutorial again with the right steps?

If you want to start over again and complete the tutorial for the 2nd time, here are the steps:

  1. Go to @discobot PM when you first join the forums.
  2. Say this to start the tutorial: @Discobot start tutorial

It might work, but if it doesn’t, you could PM sages about the issue.

Thank you, I did not know the command to restart the tutorial, as the given ones by Discobot had been completed. :+1:

I can’t get certified badge, saying @Discobot start tutorial didn’t work. (Even I PM him.)
