[Not Fixed][Trigger Changed] Opening scripts in Studio opens them in a split screen window

Problem

When I open scripts in Studio, they open in a split window no matter what is already open. I checked for a setting and I did not see one. This is new behavior that it’s a problem. I wish to reiterate that opening any script with any content on the screen will result in a split screen. Even if I take a script and manually place it in full screen, opening another script will split the screen once again.

As for plugins, I have a bunch that are installed, but very few are enabled. The ones that are enabled are listed below with links to their details page on the Roblox store website:

Expectations

When I open a script, I expect it to take up the entire editor area, not split the screen.

Here’s a video depicting the problem.

Reproduction

To reproduce the issue, perform the following steps:

  1. Open a place in Studio.
  2. Open script files.
  3. Observe results.

Yes, a new update just landed and the problem is fixed.

Thank you.

The problem is back, but the bug trigger has changed.

Scripts will open normally without the window being split. But once I manually use split screen for script editing, and then recombine all windows into one so it’s no longer split screen, any subsequent script editor windows will open in split screen. I wish to emphasize that it’s fine until I manually split the window. See the below video:

You have to restart Studio in order to recover it. Granted, this is not as annoying as the original problem, but it’s still an issue.

I’ve had the same issue for the last few days, to fix it you can also move the main place tab into the right split (and any other tabs you have open), then newly opened scripts will open in this new, main split.

Quite annoying still, hope this gets fixed soon.
