While the objectives of the old version were quite linear, we have reimagined the heist to be much more dynamic while still being a challenging loud-only heist. More info below!

Heists

Haunted Forest

  • Haunted Forest is now reimagined:
    • No longer a one-loot objective, you now are tasked with gathering ingredients around the map and bringing them back to the altar to create Witches Brew (Bone Meal, Mystical Frogs, and Holy Water). Escape is available after one bag.
    • You must feed The Elder the brew in order to unlock the escape, but you can continue to produce Witches Brew as long as you’d like afterwards, making this an infinite-loot heist.
    • Witches Brew has a quality modifier- so pay attention when it is finished. If you collect the brew too early, it will be worth very little, but if you wait until it reaches the perfect timing, you can get a much more valuable variant.
    • The objectives can be completed in any order and in parallel- teams can strategize around this.
    • Ghosts no longer reset enemy HP (unlike the mutator), as such killing enemies in Haunted Forest is the same as any other heist in terms of enemy health.
    • New boss enemy types, and new enemy variations!
    • 4 new badges

Developers Note: Since this style of heist is a bit different, we are open to feedback! Please share with us on our Community Forums or appropriate channels.

Art Gallery

  • Reduced the number of guards patrolling halls. On Normal and Hard, only two halls are guaranteed to have a guard in them at all times, and on Extreme and Nightmare, this is increased to 3.
    • Some guards still will have wider routes that will visit these rooms, but there will be less constant supervision.
    • Effectively, this means the guard count has decreased by 3-4 in total depending on difficulty.

Developers Note: The guard count in Art Gallery was difficult to pin down before our stealth changes, so we are acting on feedback that stealth might have been a little too claustrophobic prior to this change.

Diamond Store

  • Fixed optimization issues related to loot models.

Developers Note: There were so… many… triangles…

Weapons

  • Renamed multiple guns
  • Added the Chainsaw melee weapon
    • Behaves similar to the SAW, but it can not destroy objects. Hearing distance of 10 studs.
  • Updated SAW model, sounds and animations
  • Updated SAW steampunk skin with animated cogs

Challenges

  • When a RNG color skin detects a dupe, it’ll try to reroll the challenge up to 3 times to decrease the odds of rolling duplicates.,

Lobby

Cosmetics

  • For a limited time, new cosmetics are available at the Scrap shop. These will be available again next October:
    • Ghoul Mask (50 scrap)
    • Mr Pumpkin Mask (75 scrap) - comes in 3 variants automatically:
      • Standard (Red)
      • Blue
      • Green
    • Zombie Outfit (120 scrap)
    • Mr Bats (120 scrap)

Reminder: You can sell gun skins for scraps after completing challenges, in addition for getting them for rolling duplicates in the Gold Rush Safe!

Other Lobby Changes

  • New Halloween menu theme
  • Fixed incorrect label for Crew AI setting in lobby creation
  • Fixed scaling issues in the weapon inventory
  • New setting: Hide Sensitive Content
    • When enabled, it’ll hide content deemed sensitive. Currently, it only changes spiders from Haunted Forest into different models (Arachnophobia mode).

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where detection was faster in Normal mode
  • Fixed bags breaking in rare circumstances where one would be destroyed
  • Bags will now respawn at the police drop point if they ever fall out of the map
  • (Ozela Heist) Fixed the glass from the display cases in Trophy Room not being able to be broken
  • (Authority) Updated map geometry near spawn to prevent friendly AI from being blocked
  • Fixed an issue where looped audios could play indefinitely
  • Fixed police being able to hit through walls if the guns clipped through it
  • Fixed hit detection issues related to being hit across cover
  • Fixed police not targeting thugs
  • Fixed Shocker stun trail remaining even when no longer stunned
  • (Sandbox Mode) Fixed detection circles not getting properly removed when deleting NPCs
  • Fixed players being able to get damaged while in grace period when revived from snipers, specters and flamethrower units
