OBJ imports-Reasons-

Yes I know this is not a good choice to put here on the forum BUT I have reasons.

A plug in called Free-D forced the CSG of multiple parts to correctly do CSG and helped me with ships that I could NOT make with ROBLOX’s default CSG, it also allowed me to get objects that I had created in blender (Of course I could never use in a real game.) and be able to animate them such as a wolf.

I think OBJ imports CAN be moderated and can be very useful to the building community for tings that WON’T CSG correctly with ROBLOX’s current CSG system so if a builder can’t find a way to union that object just add it to Blender and then make it a OBJ and it will auto union itself.

-I know people have been moaning and groaning about user meshes but I think it could help in the long run.-

Thanks for reading my idea.
-Sorry for the crap I’ve raged about by the way.-

I don’t think this brought anything new to the table.

As much as we want this, I believe roblox already said they don’t want it cause it would ruin the feel of roblox.

Dont ask for source, it’s just what I remember

Well not really it DID bring up it auto does CSG with ease.

I wonder how the mesh injection could make all the triangles a perfect union with just one click. But when you select all triangles in studio without the plugin and then press union, it will say it’s unsolvable.

Because Studio checks the transform of the parts and then does some algorithms to edit mesh data and combine them where the plugin just slaps the mesh data straight into a CSG.
