Obstacle Game Feedback

For a little under 2 months, I’ve been working on a game called Frenzy Sprint 2. It’s a remake of another game I made last summer, but I completely rebuilt it from the ground up since I made the original version in March 2019 when I was still a beginner (a lot of the features used extremely inefficient code).

Anyways, this is a game where each round, you have to complete how many obstacles you can in 1 minute, 30 seconds. You have 3 lives to add to the challenge, but in a recent update I added difficulties (you get more gold but less lives with harder difficulties).

What I would like as feedback is:

  • What your opinion on the overall idea of the game is
  • Nitty-gritty details (GUI thoughts, etc.)
  • How this could be advertised effectively as the game progresses towards the beta stage (includes demographics)
  • Any other suggestions or ideas

The game:

Thanks everyone and I look forward to your feedback!

It’s really good and well-made. I would like to take this time to share my thoughts.

The overall game is really neat, the scripting was on point and everything went smooth. Though I couldn’t fully experience it with only myself in a server.

Three words, too much black, it seemed excessive. Another thing I want to add is that the GUI covered up a bit of my screen, and the button images were a little fuzzy. Overall, the GUI was ok.

Hm, I’m not sure what you mean. I would appreciate if you could clarify as I want to help as much as I can making this game a great experience for everyone.

I have never seen this before in these kind of games but maybe you could implement a 1v1 race system!

Well, that is all I have to say. Keep up the good work and see you on the front page!

Thank you so much for the advice!

As for this, I was referring to what advertising methods would be most effective. For example, would this work best with a <13 years old or 13+ environment, would this work well with sponsoring vs banner advertisements, and if you have any ideas for how specifically the advertisement could work. E.g. do you think social media promotions would work rather than Roblox ads?

Just out of curiosity, which platform were you using? I’ve tested it on a 10.9” iPad, 4.7” phone, and 13.3” laptop but I’m sure it looks different on other sizes I don’t have access to.
Also, what color scheme would you recommend can help to tone down the black? Doesn’t have to be super specific, but I was just wondering which general direction I could move in.

That’s a pretty cool idea, never thought of that! Definitely adding that to my list of potential new features.

Thanks again for all your feedback, I appreciate it!
