Ocean Hotels - Staff Guidelines & Help Guide

Staff Guidelines: -

Please do not:

  • Warn other staff members

Warning other staff members will cause a lot of arguments, we don’t expect any staff members to feel the need to hand out warnings to other employees. If you feel the need to report another staff for violating rules, then you may report this to a moderator in-game or in our Discord server visible for users 13+ under our “Social Links” tab.


  • Cause arguments, drama or ‘beef’ with other staff members

At Ocean, we want our community to be the best it can be. This is why we’re strict when it comes to staff arguments, we want to prevent anything from escalating into anything major. If a staff member is annoying you or being rude, then you always have an option to ignore them or contact a moderator about the problem, and they’ll resolve it for you. We don’t want any employees feeling left out.


  • Refuse to follow instructions by our MR/HR team

Our MR/HR team are the ones that are constantly moderating our games for the benefit of our innocent players, and fans. Our team will never treat you disrespectfully, so they expect the same from you.


  • Check yourself or other staff members into rooms

At times, Ocean Hotel can have up to 50-200 concurrent players or more on an average day. We would like all our guests to be able to play the game and be assisted by a staff member straight away. If the reception is busy, and you’re in a room, then the service slows down and the guests can become impatient. If you’re caught with a room and you refuse to check yourself out, you will be suspended for 24 hours - meaning you will not be able to join the game until you’re unsuspended.




Staff Rules: -

  • You must wear the uniform at all times. This represents you as an employee for Ocean Hotel, and makes you look smart and professional at the same time!

  • All staff members must remain professional, utilize grammar properly, and spell correctly in English. (The only exceptions to these: Interns are excused from grammar. If the staff’s main language isn’t English, they are excused from the structure and spelling mistakes.)

  • Security members may not handcuff any other employee, no excuses are tolerated. The only reason a staff member can be handcuffed would be if they were exploiting, and the staff handcuffing them has proved it by sending proof on Discord.

Note to Employees
Please know that we currently have numerous moderators/administrators online every single day to make sure our game is being played appropriately, however we obviously cannot possibly be online every single hour around the clock to check up on our games. If you feel like a player is breaking any rules set by Roblox or Ocean in particular, you should use the in-game report abuse feature to report the user to Roblox administrators where they will be possibly punished to an extent as well as banned from Ocean. You can use the Discord server visible to users 13+ in the ‘Social Links’ tab of our group page to report players, our admins read and check every report with proof carefully and will sort it for you.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How do I get promoted?
    You can get a promotion by remaining active, positive and helpful in the community. We promise your hard work and dedication won’t go unnoticed. You should never ask for promotions!

  • Can I have admin commands?
    Only our moderators are given access to admin commands to do their job accordingly.

  • Why can’t I help train or interview?
    We only allow our MR/HR team (moderators) to do such, as we want our sessions to run smoothly. Our moderators are specially trained to do what they do on a daily basis.
