What do you think of when you think of Roblox? A game, a fun pastime, or development? We’re excited to introduce the upcoming revolution in Roblox – OstoNub. The first prototype of a metaspace, global user interaction, and a vast virtual world. Coming very soon, in January 2026, don’t miss your chance to be the first to use it!
Looked at it a bit and you seem to be calling it a metaverse. Roblox is already kind of a “metaverse,” so wouldn’t it be better to call it a metametaverse? Since it’s a metaverse implemented inside of a metaverse?
It’s a kind of meta-space between Roblox users where they can come together for a variety of activities: from playing a fun game, finding friends, or spending time together to collaborations between startups, groups, or organizations. OctoHub is changing the perception of Roblox as a platform as a whole, even mentally.
Yes, you could say that. I’d like to clarify: Roblox is indeed a metaverse, but a disorganized one. There’s no single movement or space where everyone can truly come together, not just in chats, but directly interact with both Roblox users and those who have come to Roblox from outside. OctoHub attracts not only those within Roblox, but also those from outside Roblox. So it’s a metahub, within the Roblox metaverse.
We really do use AI. Its a new technology that needs to be explored. AI, in particular, will play a significant role in OctoHub, and we plan to take it and interaction with it to a new level. Compared to DevForum, the goals are quite different, but we’re trying to bring something new, not replace the old.
We’re experimenting, including with AI. I think the problem isn’t the AI itself, but how it’s used. It’s an innovative tool that can enhance things that even an experienced user might sometimes miss, but that doesn’t mean it should be shoved everywhere. It’s certainly not ideal in terms of quality and animation, but at least it’s a step toward improvement. The problem isn’t the AI itself, but how it’s used, like any other tool.
Well, at least I’m trying to optimize it so it looks acceptable. In any case, this is an experiment, and I wanted to test the combination of AI with real content, which is the majority. But proper optimization requires effort.
No, not exactly. I already explained above how it differs from Roblox, but in short, Roblox is a broad but unorganized concept, while OctoHub is a specific space for direct user interaction.
