Roblox’s Community Standards states that “content which supports, promotes, or enables discrimination, mockery, or hatred against individuals or groups based on protected characteristics such as race or ethnicity is not allowed.” The continued availability of this bundle appears inconsistent with those standards.
Expected behavior
Since this bundle is officially published by Roblox, it is reasonable to expect it to reflect current naming conventions and community guidelines. I am requesting that this item be reviewed and, if appropriate, updated to ensure it aligns with the Washington Commanders’ and Roblox’s present-day standards and values.
C’mon dude, this was clearly put out when the team still had that name. If they change the name they will have to completely update the uniform to change the helmet logo and remove the team name above the numbers. I will speak for everyone when I say no one is looking at a player who may be wearing that in-game and saying “wow, this offends me.” Much bigger fish to fry and this is a feature request - not a bug at all.
I’m not saying it was malicious when it was made. The point is that it’s still live today as official Roblox content, using a name that’s been formally recognized as racist and retired. Regardless of whether players notice or feel offended, official assets should align with current standards. A review isn’t unreasonable.
I understand you aren’t saying it was malicious when it was made, but this item was put out 6 years ago. No political intent here but they are probably going to change the name back anyways so they can get the new stadium they want. What happens then? Roblox changes it back again? Its an old item and should be left alone. Sorry to be stern with you but a lot of these bug reports just appear to be people with a lot of time on their hands who want to report something just for the sake of it - this feels no different.
I think part of the reason it never got updated was because the licence expired (or at least the collab/sponsorship expired and they weren’t getting paid to care about it anymore), which in turn meant nobody was caring for it in general, and so everyone forgot it existed.
In cases similar to this such as with the “Straw Hat” and “Ghost Mask,” the items were simply taken off sale and no changes were made to the name/design of the items. Since this bundle is already off sale, there is nothing that needs to be done.
I see the comparison, but it isn’t quite the same here.
In this case, part of the issue is the bundle name and identity itself, which explicitly uses a racist term. Offsaling can address situations where the concern is user misuse, as these were the result of cultural considerations that weren’t properly accounted for, but that doesn’t really resolve a case where the problematic element is embedded in the asset’s name and identity itself.
This screenshot is fabricated, and this is clearly a heinous attempt to defame me.
This is unacceptable, I expect better from fellow Roblox DevForum members. This is alarming.
