Ongoing Failure in Arabic Moderation Allowing Sexual Content and Unsafe Games for Children

I am reporting a serious and long standing issue in the Arabic content moderation system on the platform
This problem has been happening for a long time and was previously reported by another user here

Roblox stated that the issue was fixed but the same problems still continue today

The issue

The Arabic moderation system fails to detect

• sexual or inappropriate phrases in game titles
• thumbnails containing Arabic dialogue with adult meaning
• games that include inappropriate chat or interactions
• games that direct children to Discord servers with explicit content
• clear violations that should never pass any review process

This makes the environment extremely unsafe for children in the Arabic region

Evidence from a content creator

A YouTube creator has clearly shown what happens inside these games and how harmful they are
The full video demonstrating the inappropriate content and unsafe practices can be found here

This video provides a clear overview of the problem and confirms that these games remain accessible to children despite the warnings

Example 1 Game: سيكو سيكو (Seeko Seeko)

https://www.roblox.com/games/138083469604106/unnamed

The thumbnail includes Arabic dialogue with adult meaning
When the player joins the first thing they see is a section called غرف المتعة (Pleasure Rooms)
The phrase clearly implies sexual content and is not appropriate at all for a game rated 5 years and up

Having a section called غرف المتعة (Pleasure Rooms) in a game that is supposed to be for children makes the game extremely unsafe
This content should never pass moderation in any language

Inside the game, players are also directed to an explicit Discord server containing adult and harmful content
This makes the situation much more dangerous because children can access inappropriate material directly from within Roblox

Example 2 Game: هات و هات (Hat w Hat)

https://www.roblox.com/games/13660/unnamed

The game title uses an Arabic phrase هات و هات (Take and Give) that is widely understood in colloquial Arabic as a sexual innuendo
Despite this, it passed moderation and is still accessible to children

Why this is serious

Children using Roblox in Arabic-speaking regions are exposed to adult content through game titles, thumbnails, and in-game chat
The Arabic moderation system fails to detect even the most obvious inappropriate words or phrases
Some games actively direct children to explicit Discord servers, exposing them to very harmful material outside the platform

Expected behavior

I ask Roblox to:

• Improve Arabic filtering to detect inappropriate phrases including slang
• Review and remove thumbnails that display adult themed Arabic dialogue
• Take immediate action on the two games listed above
• Prioritize child safety in the Arabic region as this issue directly affects young players
• Re evaluate the age rating system to prevent 5 year old players from accessing games with any adult themes

This HAS to reach to roblox and take serious safety actions
Even after roblox safety updates that should fix the adult content problom in roblox games that was made for children, these “type” of the developers could easy find a way to trick the system and add sexual content

Even without the “face scan update” you could still communite in these games which shouldnt be allowed but thats not the point

these developers updates the game alot just to hide the sexual idea of the game and show roblox that its just a safe hangout game, and this isnt smth new this has been for YEARS and the problom is even after moderating alot of games they could easily publish the same game and change a bit of the game so the “moderation” “system” accept it

and its just not that these game breaks alot of roblox “safety” rules as:
harrasment AND sexual harrasment, dating, bullying, 18+ avatars,

even the game icon shows that the game isnt for the “5+ years old age group”

and im talking about one game, theres like ALOT of games that tries to bypass the safety moderation system

We, the Arab Roblox developers and players, would like to bring attention to the growing safety issues affecting many Arab based Roblox experiences, including well known games such as “هات وهات” and “شاليه محمد” & The experience mentioned above; are the most well known out there, among others. Recently, these experiences have been targeted by harmful actors and irresponsible developers who exploit security breakpoints, disrupt gameplay, and negatively affect the community.

These ongoing problems not only damage the quality of our experiences but also threaten the safety and comfort of the players who rely on these spaces for fun, creativity, and social interaction. As developers, we are concerned that this situation is impacting our work, our productivity, and our ability to maintain healthy, enjoyable environments for our audience.

We respectfully request that serious action be taken to investigate these issues and enforce stronger measures to protect our community. Addressing these concerns quickly is essential to ensuring the long-term safety and stability of Arab Roblox experiences. As it is dangerously more nations especially the Arab ones, passing Roblox away from there territorial land.

I completely agree that the issue is much deeper than a few simple loopholes
Even after the updates Roblox said they made some developers still manage to bypass moderation by changing icons wording or the structure of their content in a way that allows clearly inappropriate elements to pass review
This shows that the problem is in the system itself and it needs stronger and more reliable moderation not temporary fixes

So they proceeded to take well over a year to add official support to the Arabic language that doesn’t yet fully support all translation and other features by the way, only to disable all communication features in Middle Eastern Arabic speaking countries and have allowed words and content to slip through moderation simply because they didn’t bother to develop robust moderation for a language they planned to support and did so :man_facepalming:
