Hey @zfl0q, I don’t think this is related to the change in this post, but I work on the importer and will DM you to see if I can help you out!
Is there any way to upload models as non-packages? There doesn’t seem to be.
Currently, all new models will be uploaded as packages. We are in the process of allowing users to configure this behavior, but we don’t have a timeline on that yet.
Hey Creators,
It’s been over 3 months since we added support for more asset types through the Open Cloud Assets API. Since then, we’ve seen a significant transition from user cookie authentication to Open Cloud API keys on this endpoint. Thanks to all of you for updating your workflows accordingly.
This is a reminder that the legacy upload endpoints will be deprecated in 1 week. We noticed there is still some traffic on the https://data.roblox.com/ide/publish/UploadNewAnimation endpoint. We believe this is due to creators using third-party tools to transfer animations between accounts. If you are currently doing this, please switch to using Animation Sharing instead. This is the supported method for allowing other users, groups, or experiences to use your animations without needing to re-upload them.
Please ensure you have migrated all other workflows from these legacy endpoints to the Open Cloud Assets API by next week to avoid any disruption.
Thank you!
