I am seeking an Art Director for a game I am about to start making. The game is a base-building, zombie survival game. Something along the lines of DayZ or State of Decay.
As Art Director you will be responsible for;
- Helping decide the art direction of the game (low poly? Realism? Cartoony? Dark and scary?)
- Recruit whichever artists (builders, animators, 2d artists etc) you require
- Lead and manage those artists
- Liaise with me about the progress of the art team
You will be responsible for the art team. I will be responsible for everything else. If I need an art asset, I’ll discuss with you, and then you and your team do your thing.
Payment: For this role you’ll be paid 45% of the game’s earned Robux. You’ll have to use that share to recruit and pay other artists, but what you pay them is up to you – it’s your budget.
We’ll be working on 2 projects at once;
- A simple (and free) gun range game to publicly showcase our combat systems (and to hopefully generate interest)
- The “real” game
To be clear, you will earn 45% from both projects, but at this stage there are no plans to monetise the gun range.
