Yal — Environment & Visual Developer
I’ve been building on Roblox for 9 years. The last few years I mostly worked on my own games instead of commissions, so I’ve been on your side of the table: picking thumbnails by CTR instead of by taste, redoing a shop UI because players couldn’t find the buy button, cutting a map I loved because it tanked frame rate. That experience is what you’re actually hiring.
One person for the whole visual side: maps and builds, 3D modeling, UI and UX, VFX, thumbnails and icons. I’ll also give game design input if you want it. I’ll tell you when I think a layout hurts retention, you can ignore me, it’s your game.
Open: 20 hours a week. $25/hour, or a fixed quote per asset.

What I do
- Maps and environments, blockout to done. I build against a performance budget, not just for the screenshot.
- 3D props and assets in your game’s style.
- UI plus the UX behind it. Layouts players actually understand. I care more about whether someone finds the button than how shiny it is.
- VFX: abilities, ambience, hit feedback. The stuff that makes a game feel good.
- Thumbnails and icons, designed for click-through. I’ve tested these on my own store pages so I have opinions about what gets clicked (you get those for free).
Fair warning: heavy scripting isn’t my lane. Visuals, design and feel are. If you need a full systems programmer, that’s someone else.
