Opening Studio from file or Roblox?

For reference sake, I don’t know if this belongs to development category or this category. If it’s the other one then I’m completely sorry for putting it here.

So I have an unconscious habit of mostly working on my games when it’s a file inside my computer not when it’s uploaded to Roblox. When I do need Roblox’s services like DataStore service, I use the Roblox uploaded one before eventually going back to my file. So my question is

Does it matter whether I open studio from file or Roblox? Because last time I opened from Roblox, my game crashed and became impossible to open, possibly because I kept publishing it too many times. I had to close down that specific place labeled “Void” cause it’s not openable, if that’s even a word.

Difference is simple. If you save it in file, it only exists in this file (unless you saved it somewhere else too). That means: if you lose the file and you don’t have a backup, you lose all your hard work. However, uploading it to roblox saves it in roblox, making it more safe.

Best practice is to save it to roblox and save a backup to file or if you really want to save it in file, then save a backup to roblox
