So I am currently working on a game that involves biomes, and I have never worked with realistic terrain and tress and such before so I am not entirely sure what looks good or not.
But what does everyone think? Should there be fore vegetation? And if so what do you think would fit in a jungle? Should their be more water (lakes, rivers, etc…?)
Looking cool! Nice work
I would say the lighting is looking a bit flat and bland. Obviously it’s Roblox but there are definetly ways you can improve the lighting to get more of that Jungle feel. Also keep in mind night time lighting if you are doing a day/night cycle
Its very bland, more of a casual forest than a jungle.
Here’s some things that are very easily noticeable as “off”
First and foremost, the water isn’t water, Its a part (or its just terribly configured water) There is a water material, you should use it.
The lighting is bad to put it simply. There’s barely any contrast between shadow and light. You should switch to Realistic, adjust OutdoorAmbient, Ambient & Brightness properties, as well as messing around with the ColorCorrectionEffect instance, and other lighting effect instances.
The materials (and models) being used are low quality. No normal, roughness or metalness maps and low resolution textures.
Everything’s really dark and desaturated
Its really empty, there’s little to no foliage and the trees are spaced too far.
The trees seem really copy-pasted, there’s no size variance at all, and I’m not sure if there’s rotation variance.
The color of the grass doesn’t match that of the trees
The water hole is probably too deep and why is it rocky.
