Hey everyone,

I’ve recently finished working on this build:

Tell me what you think! I’m open to constructive critisism, my only goal here is to improve.

(Oh yeah and, if there are any useful plugins you know of that could make my life as a builder easier, feel free to send em here too, thanks)

Hi,
I want to give you ideas if you want to use them.
1: When you go at 1:16 in the video, you can see there’s not alot of things on the bridge maybe add some crates or something that can fill up the place a bit. Because, it looks empty.
2: Add bushes in the forest and some vegetation
9/10 Its beautiful !!

The docks look very dark during the day and especially at night, if that’s what you’re going for then it’s fine, but additional lighting might help.

Not related to the build, but you should add some more sound variations to the footsteps.

This looks absolutely beautiful! The only feedback I can give is adding models to the docks, like crates and barrels and maybe just random items scattered around. The builds are really well done!!

And yeah, I’ve had a lot of ppl telling me how the docks looked kinda empty. I was planning on adding things like wooden crates, more barrels, wall torches and maybe some kind of carpet, but I was running low on time so I decided to wrap things up.

Thing is, this build was made for a game I’m working for (Grand Voyage), so it wasn’t just me building for fun. I got deadlines and stuff. I’ll definitely add more things once I have a little bit more free time tho.

Again, tysm for your feedback, 9/10 is crazy!

And you’re right, adding more barrels along with crates would make it look way better.

We aren’t gonna use those sound effects for the game, it’s just some random free footstep sfx I used for the showcase video

Looks really nice, the only things i would change are:

  1. The bushes variate from meshes to walk-through blocks i would chose one or the other
  2. Add more lanterns at night. it is kinda hard to see as it is

Also, would you prefer meshes or blocks for the bushes? Tbh I think they go well together, but that’s just me

I think if you gave the bushes a bevel by using a a beveled mesh it would go together very well. Or you could make the plants more low poly.
