Opinions on a logo

Hello everyone

I’m leo007er1, a developer that started developing games since November 2017. I mainly build, model, script a bit and I’m learning to make soundTracks and I’m focusing on improving my UI design skills by making websites.
So I would like to have a feedback/opinion on this logo below

Logo

LogoToShow

(I would upload a photo where I show the logo inserted to an UI, but I’m too lazy )

This logo is for a development group. I would make the background transparent, but on dark UIs would look very, very strange and ugly.

[Edit: sorry for my english]

Hope you like it

From 1 to 10 how cool is this logo?

Do you used blender or else?

Also, avoid using watermarks on UIs

I used paint.net to make the logo. The watermark it’s just a method to avoid stealing pieces of GFX, UIs… On a game I won’t use the watermark.

It looks well, but it should be transparent

Feedback

…The “EPIC WATERMARK” should say your name instead of “EPIC WATERMARK”

It could be better.

6/10

There’s some potential on making this work. When working with logos, don’t use gradients, because they add complexity to the logo that you are trying to convey in a simple manner. (And this rule doesn’t just apply to you, it applies to all logos in general. Very rarely will gradients ever work.)

I think you could explore will different color palettes for the logo, like different shades of blue or whatnot.

Though, even with my 6/10 rating, I also think there could be more to the logo, but I can’t quite put my finger on it.
