best thing you can do to improve it right now is just keep it consistent.
you’re using about 3 different fonts, and the icons aren’t exactly matching with each other.
(you can search up for some free icon packs! that way they all match in style)
the UICorner is also inconsistent between the three frames.
there are some alignment issues, put some padding, let the contents have their personal space!
If you’re getting fuxxing $250 an hour as an engineer you better sign me up for that.
I.T should say I.T., but that’s a career not a job.
I think engineer is also a career?
Please don’t be like my school using 15 different fonts on 1 single page of a video.
On janitor, the small color bar on the left is hardly visible.
Haha, i just typed a random number since most games use their own inflation type pricing i do agree with font stylint looking back, I made the U.I at 12 - 1AM thanks for your input
i’ve been a ui designer for quite some time and i’ve reviewed a bunch of ui in games and websites before and oh boy i have something to say.
to start things off i’ll be talking about @RainingMemory’s reply a little bit.
now yes, the font inconsistency is one of the most important part, use one font for most of them, and not spam a bunch of different fonts together. if you do want different fonts though, i suggest you find ones that look similar to each other, or make sense with the theme. the padding is also quite an issue, as the items look cramped together. for that i suggest you use uilistlayout’s as they can help out automatically sorting things! uicorners are also not that consistent and the icons don’t look exactly suitable for this style.
now time for my comment, and probably only one:
COLORS:
the color choices i see here aren’t… too good. it feels as a bunch of bright and dark colors just mixed together, i suggest if you want to add colors you follow a theme, like example if you want a darker theme you can choose the sharp colors to be a little bit dark. and i think the solid side color can be removed as that is pretty unnecessary.
i’ve also decided to recreate this ui in figma and share it to you. below is the attached preview of it and the link to the community file you can refer to!
Thank you, this has helped me a lot on progressing and has opened my eyes, i look forward to implementing the things you have suggested into my future U.I layouts, the image you sent below looks incredible thank you again!
