(Please ignore the scenes, i haven’t finished building them and i need to add more)
So i’m really stuck. Iv’e designing the buttons and the logo for the main menu of my game again and again, and iv’e never been able to come to a conclusion if i like the final outcome or not. I still have to design the actual frames which come up when the buttons are clicked, but to me the main screen is the most important thing for me.
I love how when you hover over the text, it becomes kind of rainbow to simulate dizziness or confusion. I love that! Super unique! (I think it’s called “Fringe”)
I thing you should add some sort of background (preferably semi-transparent) just in case if the background is bright and it hides the text.
Other than that, I’ve never seen anything like it before and I strongly value creativity!
Looks great! I like how well the scenes are from the grave symbol (Or a cross), and the building, but the custom text looks very well and fits with the theme of the game, especially the glitch effect on the text.
Overall, it’s a nice Menu GUI, and I don’t see much of a change here, good work!
Thank you very much for your positive reply! I’ll make sure to add the background if a scene is bright.
Do you think i should add the flickering fringe effect to the logo aswell? Iv’e tried it out once but i removed it because i had a strong headache that same day.
Instead of adding fringe to everything (which can make it a little too boring), you can make the logo twitch. Like it goes to the right and then to the left, making a kind of zipping effect.
Maybe yes make it a scary theme but the rainbowish color on the text or as a glitch text, I think that’s not needed. It makes my eye blured of. Maybe delete that, that can help!
This is a really creative GUI! I love how when you hover over an option, it kind of pokes out with an effect. I also really like the scenes that sort of move around and change. Keep it up - this is an amazing GUI!
