Before the new party update, I used to party people all the time. I loved the simplicity of entering a username and they are added to a chat with you.
When the new party update arrived, I liked the new features, but I found it more confusing and difficult to party people, as you are unable to chat to people who aren’t your friends.
What I would like is a button in the ‘More’ tab on a players profile - where Follow, Block User and Inventory are - that says something like ‘Invite to Chat’, so that you can simply and easily add multiple people to your chat, without getting confused.
Only being able to chat/party your friends was an intentional change from the old behavior (and thank goodness or else I wouldn’t be able to threaten people with unfriending them when they sent me something over chat) It’s unlikely to change again unless you provide more use cases and suggest how you’d make sure it wouldn’t become a nuisance.
Well there was a security option to disable party chat altogether, which I used. It meant that I could party chat people, but they couldn’t party chat me
Which ROBLOX also intentionally (but regrettably) removed. Chat isn’t useful enough that it’d be used by enough players to be worth development time, so they forced users to use it instead.
And i hate that… I never party chat, it’s also in the way… i keep clicking it, if i’m going down to something i want to click.
And i don’t like to be “party” invited.
