So,.. It’s been a while since I’ve last posted on here.. If you don’t know me already I’m responsible for recreating Outlast 1 into Roblox Studio a few years back. Nowadays, I partnered up with a good frined of mine, to recreate Outlast 2 into the Roblox Engine, yes. We are fully aware using game assets will likely result in account termination, But this is a project we are passionate to put onto the platform to show what’s actually possible with this engine, as a lot of people deem the roblox engine to be poor.
This post is just purely dedicated to lighting. Have a look for yourself.

a lot of the “fog” was done through optimizing fog particles and just basic lighting stuff with the lighting fog properties.
A lot of the “fog” you see beneath lights are just attachments with a beam and a texture inside, aka where the barn is and stuff. Each part you see serves a purpose and have different brightnesses, colour values, and stuff
I guess you could say all the lighting is basically artifical as roblox’s engine isn’t good enough to make real outdoor lighting.,
So yea and for where to put the parts with lights? I don’t, it’s a trial and error process and understanding how lighting is meant to hit onto a surface from the main light source, so yea.
These realistic graphics and lighting look EXCELLENT! Great job on it all! How long did it take for you to make all of this? It is a great recreation of the Outlast game! I rate it 10/10!
