The steps I took are:
- Create a new campaign that is set to Lifetime Budget with a limit of $35 for 7 days
As you can see in the screenshot, it came up to $85.74. Is this normal?
I’m on Windows 11 and Chrome Version 141.0.7390.125 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Expected behavior
I expected the ad to stop when it reached $35 USD, but it seems to have just kept going?
Did I do something wrong?

From what I’m seeing the PPC went up to $0.203 per play, multiplied by the number of people that clicked which is 425 this results in $86.275
Regardless, I don’t see how my spend can go up to $86.275 on an ad with a lifetime limit of $35?

Eventually it seems to have corrected itself (still got charged in my bank account), once the correction settled in I basically had a negative outstanding balance which is now going to ads like normal.
It’s still odd how I can be charged so harshly despite setting a lifetime budget, but I’m still waiting to be contacted by support with an explanation as to why it can even go over the limit, even if temporarily. I have some guesses but I don’t want to spread misinformation.
