Owning multiple Private Servers that are unable to be opened

On the Roblox website and app, for some reason I have 2 private servers on the game Decaying Winter, and I’m unable to enable either of them to play in. I do not have a ton of information as to why I am unable to open the private servers, but when trying to enable joining or renewing the server, I get a pop-up that reads “Unable to change private server subscription status.”.

The creation of the second private server happened after disabling the first private server. I had to restart the first/original private server to kick someone out of it who was AFK, and after doing so it would not allow me to re-enable the server no matter what I tried. I noticed that on the website I had the option to create a second private server, which I decided to do, given the one that I had wasn’t working.

For a few days, my second private server was working, but after a few days, it had stopped. The free subscription for said private server had cancelled for some reason, and I am unable to renew it. When I do try to renew, I get the aforementioned “Unable to change private server status” message. I am led to believe it may have stopped working because my Roblox plus had expired, as the server cancelled at the same time.

Beyond this, I am unsure of what is really happening, what EXACTLY caused this, and what to do about it. No matter what I try, I cannot get rid of either server or open them up to be played in.

Expected behavior

I believe I should be able to open either private server to play in. I’m very sad I cannot use said servers, given I play with my friends a lot, and we usually use my private server. I should also probably only have one private server, and it’s UI of my original server’s config should be up to date.

I know Roblox had plans to limit the private server limit to 1 per game but I have no idea if they have actually added this yet. I believe this is intentional behaviour though.

This appears to be unrelated to the upcoming private server limit for Plus subscribers.

This is an existing limitation where non-Plus subscribers can only create a limited number of free private servers platform wide.

@aidenlovescola in your case, it looks like you previously had many free private servers but it was ignored since you were a Plus subscriber. Once you lost your Plus subscription, you need to disable some of your other free private servers in other games.

By “free private server”, I am referring to those which are set to free by the developer for all users, not those which became free because you had a Plus subscription.

if i may ask, is having two private servers for one game normal?
