Not sure if anyone can help me but I am wondering further about the PAID RANDOM items policy and if anyone can answer my question. As I understand, PAID RANDOM ITEMS are defined as items such as LOOTBOXES that can, in some way, be purchased with Robux.
My question is, how far does this policy go? Is it technically possible to mark a low-value item in the store, such as an uncommon gun skin, as the advertised item, but include a lootbox alongside it as a “bonus”? You are not technically paying for the lootbox; it is a bonus. You are paying for the gun skin. Since the lootbox is not the main advertised item, does this count as a paid random item or not?
If you buy a lootbox, you are technically not paying for the lootbox, but for the lowest-value item. If you receive a better item, it’s just a bonus.
I don’t know about the context of your question or where Roblox currently stands on the topic of randomness, lootboxes etc.
This is just something I always found to be interesting regarding these questions. Maybe it helps
Also, if the lootbox - or any “bonus” for that matter - incentivizes the purchase, then you did in fact purchase the lootbox. If you want to give out lootboxes don’t connect them to a purchase.
Again, no idea where we are currently at with the policies
