I’m currently making an ice hockey project however when I hit the puck too hard it goes right through, I believe that the character is going over it. This shouldn’t be happening as the stick is flush with the floor.
I was thinking I’d have to rewrite how objects collide but that is too advanced for my skill level. Any help on how to prevent this would be much appreciated.
ok wait actually I believe this might be the problem of the hockey stick going so fast that between the 2 frames it just teleported across the hockey puck and didn’t actually even touch it
Is the character being rotated with CFrame? I do know that CFrame-based physics can lead to some unwanted side-effects such as this. Maybe try switching to body gyros? Also ensure that the player has network ownership over the puck (and perform sanity checks on the puck as exploiters can abuse this if left unprotected) as then the closest client will simulate physics, however this may get messy when multiple clients are in close proximity/touching the puck.
