If you are a Member, then when you create a topic in certain categories, it will be automatically redirected to this group for approval.
Which is technically incorrect since the only category with post approval is Platform Feedback, so I think it should be updated to mention that. In the current state of post approval I highly doubt that there will be another category with pa put on it.
It’s not inaccurate: when we refer to categories, we’re referring to things like #platform-feedback:engine-features, #platform-feedback:engine-bugs, etc–that’s why the pinned threads say “About the ______ category”.
But only #platform-feedback has post approval on it, #resources has PA taken off of it, so did #discussion (members can’t post topics there anymore, not even through Post Approval, only reply). The current description implies there is multiple categories where there is Post Approval when there is only 1
Engine Features has post approval, Engine Bugs has post approval, that’s two categories right there. We don’t consider #platform-feedback in its entirety to be a category–it’s more like a parent to the other categories.
Fair, but you wouldn’t refer to all 11 categories individually. And you can’t post in the #platform-feedback base category itself, so it should be pretty obvious that one of the 11 categories is being referred to
Specifying which categories PA applies to in the group description is error-prone and annoying to keep updated if we change things again. We would also rather not deter users from posting naturally in these categories by advertising which ones are curated.
