About Me

Hello! I am the owner of RedLion Studios! A newly founded ROBLOX developing group.
I use blender to make weaponry (and armor too!). I am looking to start a new passion project codenamed “Project: Spell”. I want to find one other person to work on this with, as it will take quite a bit of time. I am currently learning how to script, but I am efficient in building and modeling.

What/Who I am looking for?

I am looking for someone who knows how to script, as well as someone dedicated to the project. I will be mostly handling any models/building that need to be done, while using my small bit of scripting knowledge to help on that part. Someone who is easy going and won’t mind giving me criticism or receiving such, someone who can hear out my ideas whilst providing ones at the same time.

Issues and why I ask on here.

First, I’d like to address obvious concerns with a post such as this.

  1. Payment? None upfront, I cannot make any payment promises OTHER than game profits which will be a complete 50/50 split through group funds, now of course this project could flop, but it’s all about the idea. I stated i’m looking for someone who would be dedicated, if you expect payment that isn’t profit share, you might as well stop reading now, sorry.

  2. Minimal experience, big ideas? While it is true i’ve never completely finished a project, and i’m still tampering and learning just how to do most important things like scripting or animations, I think with the right amount of dedication, and with me putting as much time into this as I can, it’ll also help give experience. This game is not complicated in any way, and is just something I would personally like to play/create.

What is “Project: Spell”?

Project Spell is an “arena brawler” with RPG elements. Essentially, it’s a massive playing field/map where players duke it out with their abilities. No, it is not a battle royale, it is more of a sandbox. In the game you pick between 3 base magics, these being Fire, Water, and Earth. As you level up by facing and competing against other players, you’ll earn skill points, money, and levels for your magics. Each magic will have a small skill tree, skill points may be used to unlock new spells, or upgrade current ones. You can get new magic by buying them with in-game money, or using a special token you’ll get every few levels (about 5) this token allows you to pick a new magic (not just any, only ones presented to you). You’ll get more magic options as you level up. You can use multiple magics at once, however it caps at 3. Weapons and armor will be a small factor in the game, not really contributing much and mainly being cosmetic (armor). I understand this seems dumb to be posting, and not sure who all will be interested but if you’re a small dev like me that still has experience in any of the previously mentioned things your help would be much appreciated! P.S I’m not looking to create the next big money maker, i’m simply looking to create a fun game and have a blast doing so!

If there is a Community Manager role up for grabs, I’m all for it. Though my hands are full with programming.
