Hello, I am experiencing an issue with passkey authentication when doing anything in the create page.
Whenever I try to authenticate with my passkey i get a Error message that simply says “An error occured. Please try again later”. This happens before the passkey prompt even appears.
The browser I use is Fire Fox. When I use the same passkey on another browser, it works fine, this seems to be an issue on Fire Fox only, and it started recently.
Expected behavior
I expect the passkey prompt to appear on my device.

Update on this.
No matter which browser or device I use, I cannot get past the passkey screen on create.roblox.com.
I even tried changing my passkey to be an iCloud Keychain, and it still didn’t work, same error message…

Thanks for the report, the detail you gave made this much easier to track down.
On Creator Hub, the passkey prompt loads inside a
embedded window from roblox.com, and the Bitwarden extension is not able to handle
passkeys inside that kind of window. Specifically on Firefox it also can’t hand the request back
to the browser, so no prompt shows up at all and you just get the generic error. This is an existing issue with Bitwarden.
That’s also why switching to iCloud Keychain didn’t help, the request gets
intercepted by Bitwarden before the browser ever asks which passkey to use.
I would recommend:

Use Chrome or Edge for Creator Hub. Chrome can route around the Bitwarden extension failure.

Or in Bitwarden, turn off “Ask to save and use passkeys” under Settings > Autofill,
or add roblox.com to Bitwarden’s excluded domains. Disabling the extension on that
page also works if you’d rather keep the setting.

Hey, I am using Brave (not firefox) and experiencing the same issue. Edge, Chrome and Brave all use Chromium. Would the issue be on Brave or Chromium?
I do not wish to switch browsers, and I am unable to find a solution around this issue. How can I continue using Bitwarden on Brave? (I am unable to find what you’ve said above in Settings, and I am not even sure if it applies to me) I shouldn’t have to find a workaround for an issue that was caused by a recent change.
Hey, thanks for the reply. I used to be able to use my Bitwarden passkey on Brave, now I can’t anymore. Are we sure this is the issue bug im facing?
Also, I tried this on Edge and Chrome too. Still doesn’t work, same error.
Like I mentioned earlier, logging into the account from roblox.com works perfectly fine. When I’m in the Creator site it errors no matter which browser or device I’m using.
