Patch 739 broke the plugin

After update 0.739, a stack overflow error began occurring in the LuaSyntaxToolset (minify & beautify) module
LuaSyntaxToolset.rbxm (44.7 KB)
Stravant-MinifyBeautify plugin

for example:

const LuaSyntaxToolset = require(path.to.module)

-- LuaSyntaxToolset.visitAst:81: stack overflow
LuaSyntaxToolset.minify([==[
print("Hello world!")
]==])

This library is not maintained by Roblox. I cant find anywhere to report it to Stravant but just keep that in mind that Roblox dont really have a responsibility to maintain people’s codebases.

Hi, are you sure this wasn’t broken before? I went back to version 0.738 and I can produce the same stack overflow.

The module is producing a self referential object that infinitely recurses until it stack overflows, that shouldn’t have resulted from anything on our end. Looking at the library, it seems like the AST parser itself has a bug.

Let me know if there is anything I’m missing!

Nevermind, I was wrong! This was an issue on our end, and should be fixed in an upcoming release or two. Apologies for the confusion.
