My game has recently gotten an investment offer. I’ve never done anything like this, so I was wondering what a solid percentage payback for the investor is. I’m not totally sure on how much total money is being invested, but it would help if I could know different rates. For example, 100k, 500k, 1mil, etc (robux). If anyone has experience in this, help will be appreciated, thanks!
It really depends on the game and how good it is. I can’t really say what is a good deal, because it always depends on the game.
It is an anime based game, with more content and work required than the standard simulator. We’re aiming for 2k - 8k players on release, if that helps.
You should watch the show Shark Tank, it might help out.
They’ll always try to take as large of a cut as they can, so chances are they’ll start higher than what they actually expect, and lower it significantly to what they actually want so you think you’re getting a good deal.
Basically, the lower the percentage, the lower the investor. Regarding payback, I would discuss with the investor on what they would want to be paid back, and what percentage you would want to pay them back.
