Hello developers, I’m trying to understand how the percentage goes to players and the creator of the game down Here. (and how much percent goes to whom) because I want to make a similar game where I sell shirts and pants. could someone explain this to me?
You can learn everything about commissions here
Ok, i read it, but i only found Out that the Game Creator gets the 30% Robux. Is It possible/Allowed to write a Script that gives 10% from my 30% to the Players that sell the Clothongs? (the Clothongs arent Made by them)
Unless the player owns the shirts, then there is (practically) no way to give them e.g. 10%. The closest you could maybe do is to use the group payouts system, but that will cause more problems then it would solve.
Okay, so you’re saying that the game linked there doesn’t work that way (the game tells you that it supposedly gives players who sell clothes a certain percentage of Robux per sale). Too bad, but thank you for your answer.
The game you linked seems to have player’s sell their own shirts, which does allow for robux to go to the player.
To clarify - in your game are you intending to have it sell your own items, or are you going to have players sell their items?
I have dummies that the players can use to pull catalog clothing (it doesn’t necessarily have to be from the players). As far as I know, I get a few percent when these clothes are sold in the game, and I thought I could halve my percentage again and give it to the player (sorry, I’m not that good at scripting yet).
If you’re asking if you can control the % of how much robux you get or whoever gets you can’t Roblox does that.
Okay, I get it, but how else can I “pay” the players? After all, nobody does it for free. And unfortunately, I can’t create UGC because I’m not registered for it yet. What ideas do you have?
The players will get paid through Roblox, you as the creator gets a %, the player gets a %, then Roblox gets a %. Roblox does everything you just need to supply the clothing / accessories.
So, the system would be: players take (not self-created) catalog items and sell them in my game, so that I, the player, and the accessory creator get a percentage? Sorry, I’m confused.
Somewhat Correct! The only people that get the % is the Experience creator (You), the Accessory Creator (BobTomJimmyClothing) and Roblox. The PLAYER only gets a percentage when they are the Accessory Creator and not when they import accessories from the catalog, it HAS to be made by them in order for them to receive a percentage.
This is how games like Pls Donate work, Pls Donate fetches the PLAYER’s gamepasses / clothing, then puts them into the game. This is how Haz3m and the person you are donating too gets robux.
Order:
- Accessory Creator (Who published it to the catalog)
- Experience Creator (Who published the experience)
- Roblox (Roblox takes a cut)
