Personal UGC Creation

If I were to create and upload a ugc only for myself consisting of previously existing UGCs, will it get taken down? and will I receive a ban?

I wanted to mainly make something similar to a character I have in mind but none of the existing UGCs closely match what I want to do, so I am thinking of creating my own UGC out of other people’s UGC because I have no blender or modeling experience, and don’t have the time to do so. Would this be against the rules?

This item will not be sold publicly, and I will buy each item used in the process to support the creators.

Roblox will let you upload the item, but if other creators see the item and don’t like you using their assets, they can submit a DMCA takedown claim, which would lead to your account getting a DMCA strike.

How do DMCA strikes work then if you dont mind?

If your account gets 3 DMCA strikes, it will be terminated and you can’t appeal. They expire after a year.

In that case, I’ll credit all the creators’ assets I used in the description of the UGC I publish, a full disclosure

I recommend instead commissioning another user to make a more customized version of an item you want but a different mesh. Otherwise creators will still find out and smite you with a DMCA

Even if you credit them they still have the right to submit a DMCA claim, just FYI. It’s not a get out of jail free card.

Might still end up doing that if I don’t like what I could make and if I can pay through Roblox

It’s much better to just make your own item, whoever you stole it from could DMCA you at any time and it’s not worth going through that process
