Hey all! I released photobooth v2.9.0 today and with it comes a really helpful power user feature for auto capture mode.
You can now tag instances within your auto capture target with the photobooth:ignore tag and those instances and their descendants will not be included in the bounds calculation for the orbital and point cloud fit types. This effectively gives you a lot more control over how auto capture will the fit the camera to your models.
For example this tree has a baseplate attached to it. By default the baseplate is included in the bounds calculation. I could delete the baseplate and just get a photo of the tree properly bounded, but then the baseplate wouldnât be visible in the capture.
To get the best of both worlds I can tag the baseplate part with the photobooth:ignore tag. Now when I view it in auto capture it ignores the baseplate in the bounds calculation:
Is there no way to have no bounds calculations at all? For example if I had models positioned in a way based on my camera the auto capture would just cycle through them instead of repositioning the camera
