I applied but I also applied for animation packs and that went nowhere.
I don’t get the need to gatekeep these programs. All it does is gives big ugc creators an even bigger leg up by allowing them to gatekeep and upload things that they really shouldn’t be through this program.
We saw what happened with animation packs, big names started uploading “Classic Roblox Animations” and “T Pose glitch Animations” and allegedly they were able to prevent other creators from doing similar ideas when they got onto the program later.
My buddy is an animator, he applied and wasn’t able to get in. Though established creators who don’t animate, are selling access to their ability to upload because they were accepted.
This seems like it’s going to be another repeat of just that.
At the end of the day, if I get accepted or not doesn’t make a world of difference. Though I don’t want to see the same people riffing off their position of power in the ugc space to further dominate the market.
Bringing in talented 2D artists NEEDS to be the number one priority.

I agree with this but I feel as though they’ve learned their lesson of letting it be public right off the bat, especially with the issues these new features tend to bring… also it seems like this pilot program doesn’t have the same wording as the previous one where ugc creators get access to it first.

Hey I’m all for hoping. I just wanna see actual artists get brought in and not just people who hire artists.
Give a chance for smaller talented individuals to get accepted, not already established names.

What does this mean? As in no Warnings, or no Full Bans? If the Warnings were appealed is that fine? Are they UGC only moderation reasons? Please expand on this

I don’t like that this is a pilot; it would be better if it were available to everyone. Roblox has moderation systems for images, or I don’t understand why they needed a pilot.
Also, my application was immediately rejected because I don’t have Plus. They could have actually added a question: “Do you plan to buy Plus if you’re accepted?” You’re cutting off a lot of creators, in my opinion.

One of the “artists” confirmed that they used ai during the process, so yes, he’s right, ai was used.
