Glad to see Roblox is still gatekeeping new features and potential profits from regular users. I’m sure there’s a reason for this beyond wanting to give those who are already top performers a head start in this new market. Surely

Almost two weeks of radio silence and not a single new creator accepted to the program to my knowledge. So much for “accepting creators on a rolling basis throughout the month”. Gatekeeping new features primarily for already successful top UGC creators wasn’t enough I guess, we gotta have bad communication on top of that as well. I hope Roblox does better in the future. This is just really disappointing honestly.

Roblox still hasn’t said anything about the backgrounds. It feels like it’s almost always the same people getting featured, while the rest of us don’t even get a word about whether we’ve been accepted or not.
I have so many backgrounds that I’d love to post, but honestly, it’s hard to know if there’s even a chance of getting accepted when there’s no feedback at all.
I’ll leave a few of the backgrounds I’ve been working on here. Hopefully you guys like them!

For everyone who’s still waiting for a response, unfortunately, they’re not accepting anyone else at this point. They accepted fewer than 100 people, and it looks like the same thing that happened with the Package Animation pilot. Roblox has already moved on to another pilot, the Emissive Mask one. Sadly, we’ll just have to wait until it becomes publicly available.

It’s nearly been a month and we still haven’t gotten any further updates on the pilot. Are there still intentions to do acceptance waves for this program as I find it pretty worrying we’ve heard nothing since you made this comment? It’s concerning how before another acceptance wave for this program happened, the free ai generated backgrounds feature was released.
