When trying to join a specific test place that was working fine an hour ago, we are getting various different error message such as 279 and 288 all relating to the creation of the server. There has been no notable change that caused this at our end, and running Playtest in studio works absolutely fine, with no errors in logs. The place in question is https://www.roblox.com/games/82629335007773/SCR-World-Development#!/game-instances
Hi,
Thanks for reporting this. I’m currently investigating the issue and I notice that some recent joins are going through. Are the errors consistent and does this error affect joins on other places?
Best,
aitori
Hi there. It seems inconsistent. Mostly not getting in, a few lucky successes getting in but overall no
Hi,
Are you still having trouble joining and does this affect all testers/users?
Hi
Yes, still having this problem affecting everyone. It is relating to some updated code we have put in that works fine in studio but creating preventing startup of a server
Hi,
I’m one of the developers on the game and just wanted to chime in. Times where we are being disconnected for err 277 “check your internet”, we are at least able to get through to our loading screen and looking at server logs at the point of disconnect, seems to be around the same time the server does a pretty intensive job that lasts 8 seconds (though in theory has proper yielding hooked to RS heartbeat set up) to could it perhaps be anything to do with that?
Additionally worth linking a potentially related post?
It’s unclear what exactly is causing the issue but attempting to join the identical place with two different code branches (one being main - no issues, and this feature branch), it is clear that something in this feature branch is causing the issues. Could you suggest some troubleshooting steps we could take to utilise the debugging tools in the roblox player to figure out what’s going on?
Many thanks,
MJDRBLX
