Roblox appears to be experiencing a major outage. Most pages across the website (excluding Creator Hub, and individual game pages) are either infinitely loading, or returning the error {"code":9007,"message":"Service Instances Unavailable"}. This issue is occurring globally and is not isolated to a specific region or service.
In addition to the web platform being inaccessible, critical backend services are failing. Core APIs, including DataStores, are not functioning correctly, causing experiences to fail when loading, saving, or retrieving player data. As a result, live games are actively losing data or are unable to persist progress, creating a serious risk of permanent data loss for users.
At the time of writing, there has been no public acknowledgement or status update from Roblox engineers despite the scale and severity of the outage. The lack of communication makes it difficult for developers to take mitigation steps or safely shut down affected systems while data integrity is compromised.
Was broken for me for the past 20 minutes, looks like downdetector is showing the spike now. I was able to join a game but was stuck on the loading screen probably held up by datastores
I really wish I knew this before I loaded and accidentally saved over my data in my own game in studio. Though I guess it’s a consequence for me not having a better datastore handler lol.
Roblox status page needs a full rebrand, we as developers need a resource to rely in real time statuses like this. I can also vouch this is affecting critical services such as Datastores.
I agree, instead of showing “last updated seconds ago” it should say the actual UTC timestamp, because this has clearly been down for more than a couple seconds
I just don’t understand why they refuse to use Atlassian Status services, almost all the companies uses them to display in real time status, such a very important service is needed for transparency to developers and users.
Glad I can get my data back when I join a game on mobile, I got jumpscared when I woke up and joining a game. My data got reseted but it’s back now. I didn’t know the roblox was down right now
i just woke up and saw this lol, was planning on working on my game after playing a few rounds of dandys world with my brother but i guess i’ll be doing neither now
yes but i wouldnt blame AWS straight away since its actually responding in some form
also for the last like seven outages yall need to lay off Roblox’s back, its always AWS it seems
