This is my new game! I’ve worked on it for about 2 weeks! Please leave your feedback in the replies as I will be reading them all! If you would like to support me, you can purchase the medkit developer product for 10 Robux inside of the mall. Thanks!
I got past the security guards and entered the area in the mall with the maze though I wasn’t sure how to get through the barred door into the mall proper. Am I missing a clue or is this where the story ends so far?
Here’s my other feedback:
- Adding sound effects and music would help immersion.
- At the moment there are some pretty significant invisible barriers that block off most of the forest and the fenced area outside the mall except for a fairly straight path into the mall. Maybe you could make these barriers more intuitive by shrinking the fences outside the mall to match the barriers and adding some kind of visible barrier into the forest (like very dense tree cover, a hill, or a wall) to mark the invisible ones there.
I’m correcting my post. There are details that are better hidden. These are the red squares on the guards, and at the beginning of the game make transparent rectangles. I would also add paid content (flashlights, etc.) Make graphics better add fog or darkness. Make an avatar of the game where you can make a guard, and next to an unknown person.
I hope the developer will understand and take something from the proposed options.
I am quite confused on where to go most of the time. The only pointer
seemed to be the sign in the start. I suggest you add an universal clue on where to go. For example if I recall correctly Resident Evil Biohazard (7) uses yellow tape to guide the player on where to go and what to interact with.
Thanks for the feedback! I will try to remake the barriers. Also, you enter the mall by going to the right and then there is a staircase to go up.
Thanks. I am considering adding a sprint gamepass.
Thank you! I’m not sure whether or not I want to include tape because it might make it too easy but it might be too hard right now.
I did notice the staircase. After going up it and walking through a few corridors though, I ended up in a small grey room without another doorway, so I thought it was a dead end at first.
Oh theres a hole in the floor btw
You don’t inherently have to use tape. You can pretty much use anything to guide the player.
Ok, maybe I can use spray paint like graffiti? Also, do you have any ideas why my game has 7 dislikes and 1 like? Nobody is going to play it now since it will have a 13% rating. Can I copy my game and republish it?
Graffiti is a good choice. For the likes I think it’s just some jealous forum members who have nothing better to do that played just to dislike and have an “upperhand”. You can copy your game and republish.
Thanks, it’s nice to know that we’re all in this together on the devforum lol
And what kind of upperhand are they getting by disliking a game with 40 plays?
You don’t have to focus on the dislikes. The goal is to get at least 1 player to enjoy your game. That will give feedback that your game design is functioning in some way. Idk if there is a way to check if someone has been in the game for an hour or more, but that would be what I look for when releasing my games.
