Player-customizable unlockable icons for the in-game leaderboard

Roblox should have a system where there are badges for achievements that can be equipped through the avatar to appear next to your name in-game.

If you have premium, you will start of with the premium badge in your inventory as long as your subscription is active. A player who has icons will be able to go to their avatar, go to a created section for the icon, and select the icon they prefer to be next to their name seeing the game they are looking to play uses the default playing list.

Once a player equips their desired icon, it will show up in game like this:

Ways of obtaining icons
Some examples of icons you could obtain and descriptions of how to obtain:

  • Play Roblox for 3 years
  • Obtain 1 million place visits
  • Accumulate 1 million robux over the course of your account

And so onβ€” just a few examples of endless possibilities. I think this system will help spike player engagement even more than it already is. Should this feature be thought upon, I would love to assist with further ideas if you wish or answer any questions you might have.

Why Roblox should add this feature
Roblox is a constantly growing platform and the people who play it are looking for more ways to express themselves. I think that this system would have them desire certain icons while increasing their playtime on roblox dramatically while trying to obtain said icons.

Closing statement
I believe this system is a necessity for Roblox growth in not only playtime per player, but also player numbers as a whole. When the avatar system was improved on, the players growth in engagement with Roblox and the catalog system grew dramatically; I feel this system will have a similar affect. This system would be a big change for the Roblox platform, but hopefully this message will gather up some support so we may get it done. Please leave any questions on the system below!
