When you search for people or view your friends’ profiles, some profiles may appear as “Unavailable.” If you click on these profiles, it will take you to profile ID -1. This is now happening more than before.
Do you have extensions enabled? Cannot reproduce

I can confirm that I’m able to repro on multiple devices and both on the website and app by viewing the OP’s connections. This might be specific to your friends, but I’m unsure. Quite an odd bug — never seen anything like this before.
I can reproduce this, too! When I see my connections, it takes a bit to load, but while it’s preparing, it shows the majority with a blank profile picture with both display and username as “Unavailable”. This is also possible while clicking to see other pages.
I suspect it displays while everything hasn’t been loaded yet. This behavior occurs in every section of Connect if you’re to go through, from “Connections”, “Following”, “Followers”, until “Requests”.
However, the part where it takes you to a negative user ID is honestly weird. I couldn’t manage to get this on my end… But, hopefully, this can be addressed soon!

You’re almost entirely unable to view some profiles unless you memorize the username of the user being affected by this, and when you do type in the affected username. For some reason multiple duplicate unavailable profiles will show up in your friends list.

The affected users who are shown with ID -1 seem to be users who have their connections hidden due to UK/EU privacy laws. It is likely intentional, but they haven’t updated the frontend to account for this yet.

Don’t think it’s intentional. I have friends in the UK/EU who still appear for me. Also, if people are marked as ‘Unavailable’ on a friend’s profile or someone else, you can still see who they have added using this API:

I’m not entirely sure if that’s the reason or if that’s true, but I believe that these accounts have been banned and are therefore showing “Unavailable”
Edit: When I click the link in the first post to go to the OP’s profile, it says the “page cannot be found or no longer exists.” Is this happening to me only, or does this happen to others as well?

It redirects you to the user’s profile, though the user ID is -1. I can also confirm this

The way to differ terminated accounts from “glitched” accounts in your connections is seeing whether it says Unavailable or Account Deleted and whether you can actually click on it. Terminated accounts should not be clickable.

The ‘Unavailable’ accounts have not been banned
Hi folks, thanks for the report. The Unavailable tile (with userId -1) appearing in other users’ connections list, is indeed a change made for UK OSA compliance. You should not see it when looking at your own connections list.
