If you go to my group and look for the social links section, it’s completely gone. I have users posting in my forum that they can’t figure out how to join my active community.
Unbeknownst to anyone, social links have apparently been moved into the group description modal that appears when you press “more”, and have been downgraded to these nearly invisible buttons right at the bottom that my eyes love to skip over.
There is only the Guilded invite link left visible on the page, and because of this, users are assuming there are no other social links.
Also, because this was silently buried like this, I did not notice this change in time to see the impact it had on my community before the analytics Discord gives me went out of scope.
Not to mention, the amount of the description that is shown by default is so absolutely hideously tiny that I can barely say anything meaningful without sacrificing other headline information.
We know social links are an important way for groups to stay connected. These updates were made to improve safety and consistency on the platform. We understand this may be inconvenient and will continue exploring ways for communities to share and connect safely.
Seconding this. The social links being hidden under “more” make them borderline invisible, and we’ve also gotten plenty of comments of people not being able to find them.
